Jim Ruhland, who is hard to catch sitting still, founded Accuchex with his wife Leslie in 1990, at a time when the focus of payroll service was entirely service - and ours still is! From the first day of operation, Jim has set our enduring standard of 100% customer satisfaction. As technology and co-operative marketing have become more significant in our industry, Jim has led Accuchex to and through each new aspect of evolving our business to a modern high efficiency enterprise without loosing that high service level.

Jim is a member of the American Payroll Association as well as an active leader in the Independent Payroll Processors Association where his vision and forward thinking have gained him wide recognition as an innovator. Today Jim continues to set strategy and goals for the company. He is constantly involved in seeking out and establishing working relationships with new partners.

Jim studied engineering at the University of Colorado where he also cultivated his taste for an active outdoor life and honed his expert skiing skills. Today he can often be found chasing his three young sons down black diamond ski slopes or towing them around Lake Tahoe in the family ski boat.
